TRAINEE SELECTION

1) What level of pre-education is required?	Secondary school accomplishment.
2) What is the minimum – maximum age of trainees?	21 for uniformed staff (prison officers) - No limit
3) Which tests are included in the recruitment assessment?
Physical	Yes for uniformed staff
Psychological/Personality	Yes for uniformed staff
Language	Yes for uniformed staff (slovak language).
Other	Good health condition approved by doctors, no criminal record, integrity.

CONTINUOUS TRAINING

Depending on the needs the Prison Service and career promotion of prison staff members, continues training modules are obligatory: - Specialized vocational training – obligatory for all prison officers who are planned to become higher ranked prison officer - Specialized professional training – obligatory for selected positions within the Prison Service (Dog handler, Justice Guards,..)
