INITIAL/BASIC TRAINING Length of initial/basic training of prison officer? (*see definition)

How many weeks class room?	After inintial training Recruit Prison Officers attend 5 workshops in each of three semesters
How many weeks practical prison work?	After initial training recruit prison Officers are appointed to a prison and combine full time work with studies.

5) What are the subjects that are trained at the initial/basic level?	12 week syllabus to follow.
6) What does final exam contain?	The conclusion of phase one of training does not end in a final exam. Throughout the training, RPO's undergo continuous assessments, including the submission of three Professional Practice logs, a general test and must submit a group project.test

CONTINUOUS TRAINING
1) Is continuous training obligatory?
2) If yes, which modules are obligatory?	Varies from year to year. 2020 Personal protection techniques, Infection control, Manual Handling prisoner escorting guidelines, chemical safety CSRE (Cell Snatch Rescue Equipment), Incentivised Regimes.
