European Penitentiary Training Academies Network
In 2020, under the Slovakian Presidency, the General Directorate of the Corps of Prison and Court Guard organised the EPTA Annual Conference on 28-29 September 2020 in a format of an online conference. The hosts and the EPTA steering committee decided to organize the conference online because of the situation related to the Covid-19 crisis. The EPTA Network had the opportunity to share their training contents and methodologies online.
During the online conference, the focus was on exchanging experiences on managing training activities during the lockdown due to COVID-19. Additional topics were presented on innovative methods and approaches in prison staff training and remote education and organization of examinations carried out in a remote form. Outputs from the Special Interest Groups were presented on the following topics:
