Training Guides from Catalonia – Identification of professional competences

The training guides for the different professional penal execution collectives use highly innovatory methodologies, since they perform a systematic task of indentifying professional competences, which are directly related to the behaviours considered indispensable for carrying out the activity correctly. Moreover, they are the product of the combined work of the Research and Social and Criminological Training Department and each of the collectives involved.

This initiative has enabled us to take a leap forward in the structure of the social and criminological training aimed at those professional collectives, since the training activities programme is directly related to the professional competences so that they can create curricular itineraries suited to their training needs.
