European Penitentiary Training Academies Network
The Covid-19 pandemic makes it impossible for the Academy to organize face-to-face English seminars. In 2021, language training is going to be run online.
A series of English seminars on the topic of “Leadership in Prisons” is being prepared in cooperation with foreign experts who respond to the challenge of giving online lectures on the basis of bilateral documents on cooperation.
Two-hour sessions can be useful for top and middle management representatives as well as for treatment specialists and other prison employees in direct contact with prisoners. The required level of English is from lower-intermediate to advanced. The participants have to be motivated to get involved in the discussions as the main objective of the educational programme is to improve professional English communication skills.
On the basis of bilateral cooperation, the seminars are open to prison officers representing other penitentiary systems. The international online platform enables sharing experience and exchanging ideas.
