Since the military attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine, we have been deeply alarmed, as Josep Borrell expressed “we witness the return of tragedy on European soil” . As a European network, we support the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and call for respect for international humanitarian and human rights law. We stand in support with our colleagues and friends from the Academy of the State Penitentiary Service in Ukraine, a long-standing and active member of the EPTA community.
