European Penitentiary Training Academies Network
Ensuring the security of a penitentiary facility, its staff and detainees in their charge by regular searches of premises and detained persons (search and body search) while respecting their rights. Searches target prohibited, illicit and regulated objects and substances and may lead to disciplinary and judicial measures to be taken against the detainee.
